Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what TrialReel (trialreel.app, operated by Elliot Goldman) collects, why, and your choices. The short version: your videos never leave your device, and we collect as little as possible.

1. Your videos

Videos you drag into TrialReel are processed entirely in your web browser using your device's own hardware. They are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. We cannot see, store or access them. The versions you create are saved only when you download them.

2. Information we collect

• Payment information. When you buy credits, Stripe collects your name, email, billing address and card details. We never see or store your full card number. We receive from Stripe the purchase amount, the credit pack, the email you used, and a checkout session ID so we can credit your purchase and honor refunds.
• Contact. If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard web-server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used for security and to keep the site running.

We do not run advertising, analytics or tracking pixels on trialreel.app, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

3. Cookies and local storage

TrialReel does not set tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local storage — which works like a cookie but stays on your device — for three things only:

• tr_credits — your current credit balance
• tr_sids — IDs of Stripe checkout sessions already credited, so a purchase isn't counted twice
• tr_cookie_ok — that you've dismissed the storage notice

This is strictly necessary for the Service to work and requires no consent under most privacy laws; we show a notice anyway. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings. Clearing it removes your credit balance from that browser — contact us with your Stripe receipt and we will restore purchased credits. Stripe's checkout page and the Google Fonts we load may set their own cookies under their own policies.

4. How we use information

To deliver credits you purchased, process refunds, respond to you, keep the Service secure, and comply with law. We do not use your information for anything else.

5. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who need it to run TrialReel — Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting) and Google Fonts (typefaces) — and when required by law.

6. Retention

Payment records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. Local storage stays on your device until you clear it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Children

TrialReel is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. International users

TrialReel is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, the limited information described above is processed in the US.

10. Changes

We will post any changes here with a new "last updated" date.
