These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TrialReel, available at trialreel.app, in the TrialReel iOS app, and through AI assistants that connect to TrialReel (the "Service"), operated by Elliot M. Goldman, doing business as Trial Reels, 5420 N Ocean Dr Apt 604, Riviera Beach, FL 33404, USA ("TrialReel", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Who we are
Operated by Elliot M. Goldman d/b/a Trial Reels, 5420 N Ocean Dr Apt 604, Riviera Beach, FL 33404 · (720) 301-0288 · Not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
1. What the Service does
TrialReel makes new edits of videos you give it and posts them to Instagram as trial reels (reels Instagram first shows to people who don't follow you). It can:
- use the reels already on your connected Instagram account, videos you upload, videos in a Google Drive folder you share with it, and clips you film in the app;
- cut, re-order and re-pace those videos, add on-screen text and captions, and add music or an AI voiceover;
- schedule and publish the edits on your accounts, and read how they perform;
- give you the files to download and post yourself instead, or wait for your approval before posting, if you choose those settings.
Editing happens on our servers and our service providers' servers (see our Privacy Policy), not in your browser.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service or purchase a plan. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. Keep access to your email account secure: anyone who can read your sign-in codes can use your TrialReel account.
3. Your content
- You may only use videos, audio, captions and other material you own or have the rights to modify and publish. You are solely responsible for the content you process and post.
- You must not use the Service to process content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, publicity or privacy rights, or that violates the terms of any platform where you post it.
- You retain all rights to your videos and the versions you create. We claim no ownership of them. You give us permission to store, copy, edit and transmit your content only as needed to run the Service for you.
3b. Instagram connection and automatic posting
- By connecting an Instagram account you confirm you own or are authorized to manage it, and you authorize TrialReel to read its reels, captions and insights, and to publish edits as trial reels, through Meta's official API.
- Autopilot posts without asking each time. When Autopilot is on, TrialReel chooses source videos, makes the edits and publishes them on your account on its own, within the settings you choose (for example how many posts a day). If you want to see each edit first, choose "Show me first", which waits for your approval, or "Just make the videos", which never posts and gives you the files instead. When Autopilot is off, only posts you schedule are published.
- Automatic checks may hold back edits that look unfinished or off-brand, but you remain responsible for every post made on your account, its caption, and its compliance with Instagram's Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
- Trial reels are an Instagram feature whose availability, behavior and eligibility are controlled by Meta and may change. Depending on your settings, Instagram may share a well-performing trial reel with your followers. We do not guarantee reach, views, growth or any particular outcome.
- You can pause posting, turn Autopilot off, cancel scheduled posts, or remove an Instagram account at any time from the app.
3c. Other platforms
If you connect TikTok, YouTube, a Facebook Page, Threads, LinkedIn or X, TrialReel posts there only the edits you send there, or your best-performing edits if you turn on "Also post winners everywhere". Each platform's own terms and rules apply to what you post there, and each platform decides whether a post is accepted and who sees it.
3d. AI features
- TrialReel uses AI models to transcribe speech, write hooks, captions and scripts, judge and score edits, suggest changes, keep your Brand Book (your editing rules), and answer you in the in-app chat and Copilot. AI output can be wrong. Scores are predictions, not Instagram's, TikTok's or YouTube's real ranking systems.
- Copilot proposes a plan for changes to your account; nothing in that plan runs until you press Run.
- Before posting, finished videos may be passed through OpenAI's API (the "ChatGPT pass"). The video's picture and sound are only used if they come back unchanged; this step can add descriptive tags to the file. It does not change how Instagram treats the video.
- An AI voiceover in your own voice is only made if the account owner has asked for a voice clone and given consent, which we record. Never ask us to clone a voice that isn't yours.
3e. Agencies and managed accounts
- An agency or social media manager can run your account in TrialReel only after you join their agency (with an invite link and a consent checkbox), approve their access request, or arrange it with them and connect the account yourself. Your consent is recorded. Someone who connects an account with its own Instagram login is treated as authorized to manage it.
- Depending on the permissions given, they can see your account's videos, schedule and results, change its settings and Brand Book, make edits, post, and open your dashboard as you. Every action they take is logged.
- You can remove an agency's access at any time in the app (Settings → "Managed by … · Remove access", or Settings → Access). Agencies must only add accounts whose owners agreed, and are responsible for what they do on their clients' accounts.
3f. AI assistants
You can connect TrialReel to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. The assistant can then do anything in TrialReel that you can, on the accounts your login can see. Some actions, such as posting right away or switching on public posting, ask you to confirm first. What you share with that assistant is also governed by its provider's terms.
4. Plans and payments
- On the web, TrialReel is sold as a subscription processed by Stripe. Current plans: Basic — $49 per month or $490 per year (up to 5 trial reels a day); Autopilot — $99 per month or $990 per year (you choose 1 to 10 a day); Autopilot Plus — $249 per month or $2,490 per year (15 a day to start, up to 25 while your reach holds). Any plan can start with a first week for $9 (up to 5 a day that week, one first week per person and Instagram account); after 7 days the plan you picked is charged unless you cancel. Agency — $149 per month, including 3 client accounts on Basic and 5 team members, plus $45, $89 or $219 per month for each extra Basic, Autopilot or Autopilot Plus account and $15 per month for each extra team member. Existing subscribers keep their current plan and price. What each plan includes is shown on the plan pages and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars before checkout and may change for future billing periods; the price shown at checkout applies to your current period.
- Your plan renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Stripe receipt email, from your Stripe customer portal, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Money-back guarantee: if TrialReel is not for you, email us within 7 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full. Renewal payments are not refundable once the renewal period has begun, except where required by law.
- In the iOS app, subscriptions are sold by Apple through in-app purchase, at the prices shown in the App Store, and any free trial offered there. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID's Subscriptions settings. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; we cannot refund them ourselves.
- Earlier version packs (10 versions of one video) remain valid on the account that bought them.
- Plans are tied to your TrialReel account and follow you across devices.
- Deleting your TrialReel account does not cancel a subscription by itself. Cancel it first, with Stripe or Apple.
5. Third parties
TrialReel is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc., or by TikTok, Google/YouTube, LinkedIn, X, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, HeyGen or Apple. Whether trial reels are available to you, and how they perform, is determined entirely by Instagram. Payments are handled by Stripe or Apple under their own terms and privacy policies. The service providers we use are listed in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: interfere with or disrupt the Service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to plans, credits, accounts or systems; connect or manage an account you aren't authorized to manage; reverse-engineer the Service for the purpose of circumventing payment; or use the Service for anything unlawful.
7. No guarantees
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no promises about views, reach, follower growth, platform behavior, the accuracy of AI output or predicted scores, or that any platform will treat a version as original content.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrialReel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, reach or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. We may suspend or end access to the Service for anyone who violates these Terms. You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your data).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
